COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT
Paradigm Financial Advisers | Competitive salary (based on experience)
This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry level Compliance professional to work within the Compliance Team of a new model IFA Network. Based at our Headquarters in Wilmslow, the ideal candidate will have recent experience of working in an FSA regulatory environment and knowledge of the appointed representative (AR) recruitment process. Certificate in financial planning would be an advantage but is not essential. This position is ideal for someone who wants to develop into a knowledgeable and competent Compliance Consultant. The opportunity to learn and develop within this role is extensive.
Potential candidates should have the following proven attributes as a minimum:
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Experience in a compliance related role ideally within an IFA environment
- Knowledge of FSA’s Approved Persons regime
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Ability to work within stringent timescales
- Flexibility
- Adaptability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
- Forward thinking
Experience in the following is desirable but not essential:
- AR application preparation support and guidance
- AR application process support
- To make recommendations to Compliance Manager following completion of AR due diligence as per Network procedures
- To develop and enhance appointed representative recruitment procedures and processes
- To support the team and AR in acquiring Network authorisation as soon as possible
- To assist in preparation for Compliance visits
- To liaise with ARs on an ongoing basis
- To assist in production and collation of Management Information
Interviews are likely to be in our head office in Wilmslow.
